Unknown Jim

In the beginning of the story I felt like Jim and this girl were great characters. I thought that the girl looked up to Jim. Jim was somewhat of a father figure. Then when the girl became more educated than Jim I felt like their roles turned around. He no longer felt so much like a father figure. When I realized that he loved her it startled me a little, however I felt like they were a couple that had a lot of complicated history and had real feelings for eachother. It was a tragic love story. I liked it, but it was sad that when he finally told her he loved her it was too late to be togerher. Like in every true love story he died in her arms. It was a good story that I enjoyed reading.
